Whose idea was that?
Here's just one reason why I like dealmac: "The next edition of dealmac has been postponed until Thursday, January 2, because somebody scheduled a whole lotta bowl games for tomorrow. Sorry." First time ever, right guys?

What do you mean there is no cat?
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull
his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand
this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they
receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

Hello,
I just came across your site while googling to find out whether the appropriate word to use in the phrase "whose idea was that" was "whose" or "who's". Incidentally, I am also studying for a course on technology in history while searching, so your quote by Albert Einstein also caught my eye.
Just wanted to leave my mark. Congratulations on your wedding. :)
p.s. - Have you asked Schroedinger whether or not there ever was a cat to begin with?
